The Henegar Center operates two performance venues in our building – a MainStage Theatre and a Blackbox Theatre.

 

ADA Accessibility

Our theatre is ADA accessible.  The front entrance has ADA access Ramps into the theatre and both venues have wheelchair spaces available. There are a limited number of Handicap Parking Spaces available near the front entrance.  We do feature a Portico for drop off in the front entrance.  See below for more parking information.  An elevator is available for access to the Balcony Section and Upstairs Blackbox Theatre.  In the Balcony, Seats above the AA row do require steps for access.

 

375-Seat MainStage Theatre

Our MainStage theatre is used for large musical productions. It features a 266-seat Orchestra Section (including 5 ADA Wheelchair spaces) and a 109-seat Balcony Section.  Both sections provide comfortable 22″ Wide Seats with cupholders.  Note for viewing:  The AA row of the Balcony is above the H row of the Orchestra Section.

Upstairs@Henegar
90-Seat Blackbox Theatre

Remodeled Summer 2023, our Upstairs@Henegar theatre features a 90 seat blackbox venue to present cabaret shows, dramas, comedies and small musicals in an intimate setting.  

Bar & Concessions

Our MainStage productions feature a full-liquor bar for patron enjoyment.  Show Drinks and Dessert Snacks are available for purchase.  Our VIP Reception Hall is reserved for Henegar Members and Season Ticket Holders. 

Parking

Theatre Parking is available in 2 locations: 

 – In front of the theatre along East New Haven there are free parking spaces along the street.

 – Behind the theatre is free parking in a 270-space city parking lot.  There is a lighted walkway from the parking lot to the front of the theatre.  Entrance to this lot is on Melbourne Ave.  Go south on one of the side streets near the theatre to get to Melbourne Ave.
