*SPECIAL NOTE– Listed are the dates and general rehearsal/show dates for pre-planning purposes. We will post specific detailed information for each title roughly 3 weeks prior to each audition. We will only book audition time slots during this 3 week period. Any submissions outside this window will be added to the general email list but will need to request an audition time during the submission period.

We will drop show specifics 3 weeks prior to each audition.

GENERAL AUDITION INFORMATION

– Auditions will be held at The Henegar Center; 625 E New Haven Ave, Melbourne FL 32901.

– The Henegar is an equal opportunity theatre and we encourage performers of all ethnicities to audition.  Please do not disqualify yourself on the basis of type, race, or physicality.

– Every volunteer actor, 18 & Up, will receive a travel stipend at the end of each MainStage show’s run. 

– The Henegar Center, when needed, will offer Equity guest contracts to members of the union and professional Actors.

– Follow us on Facebook and Instagram!  Please check the individual audition event posted in Facebook (www.facebook.com/HenegarCenter) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/henegarcenter) in the weeks leading up to the audition.

– For a faster and more convenient experience, you may choose to book a guaranteed audition appointment time. To secure a time slot for either day please email auditions@henegar.org

– Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of auditions! 

– Music from the show, scenes, or choreography will be taught the night of auditions. Vocal sides will be sent in advance of the audition date, and after we’ve confirmed your appointment. 

– Actors may be asked to attend a callback after their audition.

– Some ensemble roles may be required to understudy lead roles

Currently the Henegar is accepting Virtual Submissions Only

To complete a virtual audition, please submit the following to auditions@henegar.org by Saturday, September 12th: 

  • A Current Headshot
  • Performance Resume
  • Roles you are Interested in or if you’re open to any role
  • If you require housing (when available)
  • Any conflicts during rehearsal dates
  • The General Audition selection from the show (provided below)
  • (Optional) Any additional Vocal or Dance Reel 

*For Dancer Only Interest, please submit a dance reel in place of the vocal selection

*For Puppeteer Only Interest, please submit a puppet reel

  • Everyone will be asked to sing “Let The Sun Shine On” for the initial audition. Here is the link to the Google Drive Folder with the audition track and sheet music:

Callbacks: Once we’ve received your submission, our casting team will email any individuals we would like to attend our in person callbacks and will schedule an appointment at that time.

Callbacks will be held on either Sunday, September 20th or Monday, September 21st (6pm-9pm). Everyone will be notified either way by September 13th. Additional music from the show will be sent upon receiving a callback, and choreography will be taught at the night of callbacks.

Rehearsals are generally Sunday through Thursday 6:30pm-10:30pm

Mandatory Tech Week: November 15th-19th

*NOTE* If you have any conflicts for Tech week or any Show Performances, you will not be able to be cast.

Performance Dates: November 20th-December 13th (Friday- 8:00pm show, Saturday- 2:00pm & 8:00pm shows, Sunday- 2:00pm show)

*NOTE* For this production we also have Thursday evening shows on December 3rd and December 10th (8:00pm), and may add additional performances including Thursdays and Sundays at a later date.

CHARACTERS:

*Please note, the role of “Hans” has been cast 

ELSA: Future Queen of Arendelle and Anna’s older sister; born with magical powers, isolates herself from others out of fear. (Gender: Female, Age: Able to Portray 20-25, Vocal range E3-Eb5)

ANNA: Princess of Arendelle and Elsa’s younger sister; an eternal optimist who longs to be loved and to connect with other people. Gender: Female, Age: Able to Portray 18-22, Vocal Range: G3-E5

KRISTOFF: Hardworking ice harvester with a prickly exterior that hides a big heart. (Gender: Male, Age: Able to Portray 21-24, Vocal Range: A2- Bb4)

OLAF: Magical snowman with a childlike innocence. Puppeteer experience preferred. (Gender: Any, “In Summer” (Alto Key): E3 – Eb5, “In Summer” (Tenor Key): B2 – Bb4)

SVEN: Kristoff’s fiercely loyal reindeer best friend. Puppeteer experience preferred. 

OAKEN: Amiable salesperson and relentless advocate of hygge; cheerful and jolly. (Gender: Male, Age: Able to portray 30-40, Vocal Range: A2- Bb4)

WESELTON: Duke from a neighboring kingdom; chauvinistic, impolite, and judgmental. (Gender: Male, Age: Able to Portray 40-60, Vocal Range: F3-A4)

YOUNG ANNA: Child Actress. Younger princess of Arendelle with youthful exuberance; fun-loving troublemaker; mesmerized by her sister’s magic. (Gender: Female, Age: Able to Portray 8-10 years old. Vocal Range:Bb3-E5)

YOUNG ELSA: Elder princess of Arendelle with magical powers; obedient daughter; protective sister. (Gender: Female, Age: Able to Portray 10-12, Vocal Range: A3-E5)

QUEEN IDUNA: Queen of Arendelle and child of the Northhuldra; strong and compassionate mother. (Gender: Female, Age: Able to portray 25-35, Vocal Range: F3-E5)

KING AGNARR: King of Arendelle; warm-hearted and protective father. (Gender: Male, Age: Able to Portray 25-35, Vocal Range: B2-C4)

PABBIE: Mystical shaman and patriarch of the Hidden Folk; Kristoff’s wise adoptive father. (Gender: Male, Age: Adult Performer, Vocal range top: Ab2-Gb4)

BULDA: Spiritual matriarch of the Hidden Folk; Kristoff’s nurturing and vibrant adoptive mother. Dancing Preferred. (Gender: Female, Age: Adult Performer, Vocal Range: Bb3-D5)
